Besides Banking: Betty Jo Staley
Meet Betty Jo Staley, the VP Commercial Loan Officer at our South Burley location, where agriculture isn’t just part of the economy—it’s part of the way of life. Situated in a region known for its potato, sugar beet, and grain crops, and as the largest dairy-producing county in Idaho, Burley and Oakley thrive on farming traditions.

Betty Jo and her husband are passionate about giving back to their community, from volunteering with the Burley FFA alumni to running an apiary with their kids. They strongly believe that it's vital for kids to understand where their food comes from and to learn the value of hard work, whether in agriculture or banking. "What drives me to do what I do is my kids," Betty Jo shares. "We’ve always maintained that owning a business is about giving our kids the opportunity to work hard and learn essential life skills."

At D.L. Evans Bank, she appreciates the work-life balance that enables her to actively participate in the FFA program and involve her family in their apiary business, passing on a strong work ethic that translates seamlessly from the fields to the financial world. This is community banking.
