Don has been in the mortgage industry a little over 30 years, with the last 19 of those years as the owner of his own mortgage operation in Alabama. He was able to semi-retire in 2010, but has always wanted to get back into the business he knows well. He is excited to jump back in by joining D.L. Evans Bank.
Don has won numerous awards during his time in the real estate industry as he worked in several additional markets, including Florida and Tennessee. He has seen many changes during his career and understands what it takes to make the process of obtaining a mortgage loan as comfortable and effortless as possible. He is tireless in his work ethic and is available to both the real estate agent, builder, and client at their convenience, as he realizes 9-5 is not always time-friendly for everyone. In addition, Don has taught mortgage financing classes for new realtors in a classroom setting for over ten years; he was pleased to see the majority of those students progress to become top agents in their respective markets.
Don was born in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, but spent the majority of his adult life in Birmingham. In addition to his mortgage production, he has managed offices for two large mortgage operations in Florida and in Tennessee. Having attended the University of Alabama, Don is an avid Crimson Tide fan. Roll Tide! He moved to Idaho in 2014 with his wife and together they have seven children and eight grandchildren. Don has enjoyed riding motorcycles since he was a young boy, both street and dirt, and has the broken bones to prove it. Don also enjoys serving his community. He has had a homeless street ministry in Birmingham where he oversaw 17 churches serving meals to 125 homeless individuals three nights a week for many years. Don still has a place in his heart for those less fortunate in his community.

James brings over two years of banking experience to his new role, having previously served as a Personal Banker. As a Mortgage Loan Officer, James will focus on completing pre-qualifications and originating mortgage loans while ensuring that all loan packages are accurate and complete. He will guide clients through the mortgage loan process, providing clear communication, expert guidance, and exceptional customer service every step of the way.

Zane is a life-long resident of the Mini-Cassia area. He was born and raised in Oakley, Idaho. After graduating from Oakley High School, Zane attended Idaho State University. Zane enjoys being active in the community. He has coached Football and Wrestling at Oakley High School for many years. You may recognize him from his theater involvement with the Oakley Valley Arts Council (OVAC) and also the Wilson Theatre. He is married to the beautiful Alice Mitton and together they have 5 children. Zane is fluent in both the English and Spanish languages.

Charles Friedman has lived in the Wood River Valley since 2001 and worked in the banking industry for over 15 years as both a commercial lender and a mortgage lender, closing over $500 million in purchase and refinance transactions.
Before he moved to Idaho, Charles grew up in Connecticut and graduated from Colgate University in Hamilton, NY. He and his wife have two wonderful children and he enjoys skiing, mountain biking, ice hockey, and spending time in the outdoors.
